KUALA LUMPUR: The Higher Education Ministry received a total of 30,414 students appeal for admission to institutions of higher learning (IPTA) for Postgraduate Studies Programme Malaysia Higher School Certificate (STPM) / Equivalent (First Degree) Academic Session 2011/2012.
Of the total, 16.159 or 53.1 per cent of applications received from candidates has appeal diploma or equivalent qualification, 12.183 or 40.06 per cent (STPM), 1,057 or 3:48 per cent (matriculation / human) and 1,015 or 3.34 per cent (Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia / STAM) .
Director General of Higher Education Department (JPT), Prof Datuk Dr Rujhan Mustafa, said the Joint Appeals Selection Meeting will be held from next Monday until 15 September.
He said the outcome of the appeal will be announced on 17 September from 12 noon through upu.mohe.gov.my which candidates can print the offer letter relating to public through the website and those who managed to register at the university is scheduled to start this 19 September .
