INFO | OPS SIKAP KE 24 BERMULA ESOK 22 OGOS - 27 SEPTEMBER 2011

KUALA LUMPUR: The 24th Ops Sikap which will be conducted on August 22 will be using a different approach from previous Ops Sikap.


Deputy Inspector General of Police Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said this approach would involve a change in strategy and will be announced on 22 August.

"Changes made were aimed at reducing accidents and ensuring road users to be cautious, especially during festive seasons," he told reporters after launching the Breaking Fast and friendly 1Malaysia Dinner here Saturday.

In the meantime, when asked to comment on the sale of firearms syndicate successful artificial defeated in a luxury residential Ville Park Garden House in Petaling Jaya, he proposed that courier companies have to create a scanner system to detect items brought in and sent out as used the Royal Malaysian Customs (RMC).

"The scanner is used to detect items. If items such as imitation firearm is brought in, it is possible fireworks and other dangerous goods can be brought in," he said. - BERNAMA
